The 6 singing rôles with audition pieces from Act 1 No 1 are also in the front of all the Chorus routines throughout the show and don’t just “fade away” after the opening number.
There is also the need for a non-singing, non-speaking waiter in Act 1 who is also the Page in Act 2. This is a very busy part, serving constantly in the Café on the Piazetta in Act 1.
